How do I enable JavaScript in my browser?

 

Internet Explorer 8.0 and 7.0

 

To enable JavaScript with Internet Explorer 8.0 or 7.0 on Microsoft Windows:

 

   1. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options. The Internet Options dialog box appears.

   2. Click the Security tab.

   3. Click the Internet zone, and then click OK when prompted. All the files in your cache are now deleted.

   4. Click Custom Level.

   5. In the Security Settings - Internet Zone dialog box, scroll to the Scripting section, and select Enable for Active Scripting.

   6. Scroll down a little more and select Enable for Scripting of Java Applets.

   7. Click OK to close the Security Settings - Internet Zone dialog box.

   8. Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog box.

   9. Quit and then re-open Internet Explorer.

 

Firefox 3.5

 

To enable JavaScript with Firefox 3.5 on Microsoft Windows:

 

   1. From the Tools menu, select Options.

   2. Click Content.

   3. Select both the Enable JavaScript and Enable Java options. Make sure the Block pop-up windows checkbox is not selected.

   4. Click OK.

   5. Close and relaunch your Internet browser.

 

Safari 3.x and 4.0

 

      To enable JavaScript with Safari 3.x or 4.0 for Mac OS X or Microsoft Windows:

   1. On a Macintosh, from the Safari menu, select Preferences.

   2. On a Windows PC, from the Actions pull-down menu which looks like a gear, select Preferences. Note: It is also under the Edit menu.

   3. Click Security.

   4. In the Security dialog box, select the Enable Plug-Ins, Enable Java, and Enable JavaScript checkboxes. Make sure the Block pop-up windows checkbox is not selected.

   5. Click the red close box.

   6. Quit and then re-open Safari.
